• Taking a break from coaching high school football, Ashton Kutcher shared a dinner with a recovering Diddy at the Geisha House in Hollywood. The music mogul had just undergone rotator cuff surgery, sources tell us, and was on a “very strict diet.” In fact, Diddy ordered chicken yakitori and rock shrimp tempura, two house specialties, but ate very little of both dishes.
• Speaking of geishas, Avril Lavigne was dressed like one for an early Halloween celebration at Key Club in West Hollywood, where she belted out Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation” during a special performance. The punky singer sang with a band that included her hubby Deryck Whibley, who wore a nurse’s costume and Joker-like face paint. Lavigne was introduced as “Mrs. Whibley” and “sounded amazing” during her turn on the mic, a source says. When they weren’t performing, the singer and her rocker husband shared a table at the nightspot with Mischa Barton, who was without a costume, though she did wear a headband for her night out.
• At Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson double-dated with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. The foursome sat in a booth and enjoyed dessert. “They were having a great time hanging out with each other,” an onlooker says. When they weren’t eating, the couples danced off the calories.
• Natalie Portman, eating some pumpkin soup during a visit to French eatery comme %26#199;a in Los Angeles. The actress dined with eight people and was definitely talking business, an onlooker says. Also at the restaurant: Courtney Love, who ordered the soup, a salad and a lemon tart. The rocker was also having a business meeting, and an onlooker reports that she had clothing samples at her table.
• Dave Annable and Matthew Rhys made the most of hosting the DKNY dinner at BondST in Los Angeles, charming the table of (mostly) ladies with a constant stream of jokes and self-deprecation. Annable got a nice surprise when he arrived to find himself sitting next to actress Emmy Rossum. “They were really cute and seemed to hit if off right away,” says a fellow guest.
• Sharon Stone, browsing the denim section at Live On Sunset in Los Angeles. The actress picked up a pair of AG jeans and “was friendly, polite, quiet and looked beautiful,” an onlooker says.
• Katie Lee Joel, grabbing a candy-themed cocktail and mingling with guests at a party for Dylan’s Candy Bar on New York’s Upper East Side. Also at the bash: Ivanka Trump and director Woody Allen, who led his children Bechet and Manzie around the store looking at the colorful candy displays with wife Soon-Yi Previn.

Ashton Kutcher says he is ready for some football - as a coach, that is.
While wife Demi Moore is in Georgia filming The Joneses with David Duchovny, Kutcher has been working this fall as the Assistant Coach to the North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake freshman football team. The actor talked about the gig for the first time on his MySpace Celebrity blog, and he has nothing but praise for the team.
“I’m pleased to report that my Harvard Westlake football team is 4-2. I am blessed to step on the gridiron every week with a great group of individuals that understand that the collective force is greater that any individual can ever be,” he writes.
As for why he started coaching, Kutcher says that he’s always wanted to coach, but was “afraid of the time commitment. I was afraid that I would look stupid. I was afraid that the players wouldn’t listen to my football advice, I was afraid that the advice that I gave wouldn’t be very good.”
Kutcher also used the MySpace forum to hype up his latest project Blah Girls, a Web site for teenage girls.
“I don’t believe that there are too many places that honestly depict teenage girls,” wrote the actor, who helps raise Moore’s three daughters. “They are underestimated at every turn and ten times more savvy than anyone gives them credit for.”

Ashton Kutcher can now add “assistant coach” to his resumé just under actor, producer and renowned prankster.
The actor, 30, who played football at his high school in Iowa, is a new assistant coach for the freshman football team at L.A.’s Harvard-Westlake School.
Head of Athletics Audrius Bardzukas says that Kutcher, who is pals with head coach Scott Wood, didn’t benefit from having friends in high places. Like any other job candidate, he was interviewed.
Kutcher, who will attend practice five days a week, helped his team start off the season well on Friday, when they won their first game, 21-12, in an upset. “He’s put in the time to learn our schemes and systems, and so far he’s been a pleasant surprise as a coach,” says Barzdukas. “He’s a great communicator.”
So, is he on the payroll? “We don’t have volunteer coaches,” says Barzdukas, “but I can tell you he’s not in it for the money.”
No awkwardness here! One of Hollywood’s most famous families came out Wednesday to celebrate Rumer Willis’s first major movie role.
Willis’s amicably divorced parents, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, attended the Westwood premiere of the comedy House Bunny - and both brought along their significant others. (That would be Ashton Kutcher - wearing a suit and scruffy sneakers - and model Emma Heming, respectively.) The exes also escorted their two younger daughters Tallulah and Scout.
“%26#91;My family%26#93; has always just been very supportive,” Rumer told PEOPLE on the red carpet. “I’m very grateful.”
Once inside, the whole family sat together on an aisle in the middle of theater, chatting with friends before the movie started. Papa Bruce, 53 and sporting a white beard, held court at the edge of the aisle while Moore, 45, talked with girlfriends.
The last public appearance of the entire Willis-Kutcher-Moore five years ago - when the whole crew came together for the 2003 premiere of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.

fellow diner tells us, “I had no idea he and Demi were sitting so close.”
Later in the weekend, Kutcher and his wife ate at Alma de Cuba - and when they weren’t in restaurants, Moore and her girls were shopping. The crew stopped into Urban Outfitters on Walnut Street, and Moore played on her iPhone as
she walked around. According to a witness, the actress picked up some clothes and one strange book. Its name? Penis Pokey - a cardboard picture book with a hole in the center.

Monday’s Couples Watch >
Apparently Ashton Kutcher is taking it on the chin when it comes to being among PEOPLE’s 100 Most Beautiful People - as he was declared in the issue that went on sale last Friday.
Showing him the page from the magazine when he appeared on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, the host asked Kutcher what it was like to be “one of the most beautiful somethings in PEOPLE magazine.”
“That’s a pre-beard photo,” was Kutcher’s reaction, also noting that “when I start to grow my beard … I get notches off” being judged beautiful.
As it is, Kutcher declared that he was more interested in making PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive list, something he claimed both he and Patrick Dempsey are lobbying for.
“Once you’re beautiful, you can sort of lean into sexy,” Kutcher philosophized.
As for his wife Demi Moore’s reaction to all this, Kutcher told DeGeneres, “I’m her Sexiest Man.”
Hollywood, beware: Ashton Kutcher isn’t done punking.
“I might take it to another level,” warns the power behind MTV’s Punk’d (for eight years) and E!’s Pop Fiction (since March), talking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday.
Now that “punk’d” has not only entered the vernacular but made the dictionary, Kutcher, 30, says he was walking down the street the other day when he got an idea for something new to do with it: Punk’d: The Movie.
As for the origin of “punk’d,” “I made up a word,” Kutcher told Seacrest, who noted that Ashton also said he is the “most happyliest” married person on earth.
“My sister calls them Ashton-isms,” said Kutcher of the terms he comes up with.
And though he and Demi Moore - to whom he is “happyly” married - both appeared, albeit in separate scenes, in 2006’s dramatic movie Bobby, Kutcher isn’t sure they’d work well as costars, because, he reasons, “so much is made of our personal life in the press, I think people would have a hard time disconnecting from the fact that we’re together, married, in love … and so they would have a hard time believing our characters.”
In the meantime, besides promoting his new screen comedy with Diaz”, What Happens in Vegas, he’s involved in a new project with Tyra Banks, about which he would only say that they are “looking for the most beautiful person in the world.”
Applicants who believe they fit the bill may post photos on Kutcher’s MySpace Celebrity blog.
As Cameron Diaz continues to observe the mourning period following the April 15 death of her father Emilio, Ashton Kutcher and others associated with her new movie, What Happens in Vegas, met with the press in Los Angeles on Saturday - and delivered a written message from Diaz herself.
In her own hand on her personalized stationery, Diaz wrote in copies that were provided to journalists: “First of all I want to thank all of you for your support over the years.”
She also said, “I was really looking forward to thus weekend getting to talk to my friends about a film I am so proud of,” but, citing “the loss of my Father, I have chosen to be with my family this weekend.”
On a private note, she wrote, “This weekend I am screening What Happens In Vegas for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh. After all that’s why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh.”
In closing, she said, “I picture all of your smiles and it makes me happy. Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated.” Under a hand-drawn heart, she signed off with, “Cameron.”
Kutcher, who represented Diaz and the movie at last week’s London premiere, told PEOPLE on Saturday that he has personally expressed his condolences. “Not to her family,” he said, “but I’ve talked to Cameron.”
Emilio Diaz, 58, succumbed to post-influenza MRSA pneumonia, an aggressive staph infection that can occur in all ages and in otherwise healthy people, his family said Wednesday in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
“His love for laughter was undeniable and he embraced life head-on in such a dynamic way that he was impossible to forget,” they added.
Once again, Ashton Kutcher is expertly flipping the dial from “funny” to “super sexy.” The actor-producer, 30, fresh off his successful weekend hosting Saturday Night Live, ups the hunk factor for the latest issue of Details magazine.
On his interest in Kabbalah: “I’ll use whatever works. I’m not a follower of this or that religious leader. More wars are started because of religious leaders, and people are following and they don’t know why … That is religiosity. That is what turns people into robots.”
On overcoming his jealousies regarding Demi’s ex Bruce Willis: “You walk into a relationship and there’s always jealousies, like, ‘Oh, the other guy … and, in this case, the other guy is Bruce Willis! But my wife’s a smart individual, one of the smartest people I know. If she likes and respects this person, then I think I can get over my jealousy.”
Demi Moore’s new movie is terrific, but the set really stunk.
Turns out her husband, Ashton Kutcher, punked a prop man with “stinky cheese.”
At Monday night’s Cinema Society screening of Flawless in New York City, the actress’s new diamond heist thriller, Moore described the smelly feud between her prank-prone hubby and a worker on her Luxembourg set.
“The prop man started it with eggs and stinky cheese,” Moore, wearing a white Chanel coat, told PEOPLE. “%26#91;It was during%26#93; a scene where I had to open a locker and be very serious. I opened it, and it smelled like something had died! Ashton happened to be visiting and he participated in a little retribution.”
There is obviously no such feud with Moore’s ex husband, Bruce Willis, who showed up at the event to show his support. The actor arrived with his Victoria’s Secret gal pal Emma Hemming - and Moore greeted them both with smooches and hugs.
“Demi is a fabulous actress,” Willis raved to PEOPLE. “%26#91;She’s%26#93; really great in this film. I’m quite proud of her, actually.”
He left at around 11 p.m., walking out with his 14-year-old daughter, Tallulah Belle (who affectionately held Hemming’s hand).
What’s the secret to their happy blended family? It’s simple, said Willis. “We’re all great friends still.”
