The Hours Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and Monster Oscar winner Charlize Theron are about to star in a movie together - as a married couple.
Kidman will star in and produce The Danish Girl, based on a 2000 best-selling novel about real-life Danish artists - and husband and wife - Einar and Greta Wegener, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In the 1920s, the male Einar (to be played by Kidman) posed as a woman for his painter wife Greta (to be played by Theron).
The finished portraits became all the rage in Copenhagen, which prompted Greta to encourage Einar to dress as a woman.
The independently produced film is now in pre-production, says the trade paper. In the meantime, a biopic is also in the works with Kidman set to play the late British singer Dusty Springfield (”The Windmills of Your Mind”), who enjoyed affairs with both men and women.

Charlize Theron has settled the $20 million breach of contract lawsuit against her, according to papers filed in Manhattan Federal Court Monday.
The suit was filed last year, when Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil claimed that Theron had worn a Christian Dior watch during a press event in 2006, despite being paid “substantial funds” to exclusively wear Raymond Weil timepieces during the time in question.
While the details were not released, the papers do say that the suit will be discontinued as long as the terms of the settlement are completed within 30 days.

Charlize Theron says it was great to be directed by boyfriend Stuart Townsend in their new film Battle in Seattle - except when it wasn’t.
“No matter what I say, people think I am biased because I sleep with him,” Theron joked with reporters in New York City Sept. 17. “It was great. He loved directing and I’ve never seen him so happy - which hurts my feelings as his girlfriend!”
Townsend, 35, Theron’s boyfriend of seven years, makes his writing and directorial debut with the drama about the 1999 World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle and protesters who brought the city’s streets to a standstill.
For the Irish actor turned director, working with his real-life leading lady was fun, and occasionally embarrassing. “She called me by my pet name a couple of times,” Townsend says. “The crew then started to call me by my pet name and I said to them, ‘That’s not cool. I’m trying to be a serious director here.’”
And what exactly is that pet name? “I can’t tell you,” says Townsend.

Wednesday’s Caught in the Act
Forget the free popcorn. There was an extra-special added bonus to the Hancock premiere in Hollywood Monday night: an impromptu show from leading man Will Smith and his old partner in rap, DJ Jazzy Jeff.
“I’m out of shape - I’m playing an out of shape superhero here,” Smith, 39, said on a stage surrounded by carefully wrecked cars, “prison-cage” private lounges and a moon bounce for the kids.
But Smith seemed anything but winded in the party space outside Hollywood High School as he performed many of his hit songs, including the theme from the TV show that launched him to stardom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
For a while, though, it conceivable that Theron might not even make it. The South African actress was noticeably late, for which she got gentle ribbing from Smith on the red carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
“Charlize Theron is a fantastic actress - gorgeous, sexy, powerful, so much range. From drama to comedy, she can do all things fantastic,” Smith said. “But she can’t tell time! She just can’t tell time.”
“I’m a girl,” Theron wisecracked right back as she leaned into Smith. “That’s how it goes.”
Charlize Theron slams attention-seeking celebrities, calling them “sad” in the latest issue of British GQ.
“It comes across as this really sad need for approval,” the Monster Oscar winner says in the magazine’s July issue. “I’ve heard people make comments like, ‘You don’t really want to be in the tabloids but you need to be for your career.’ They believe it’s actually important. It’s not. It’s ugly.”
“People say, ‘That’s your job.’ It really isn’t, actually. It’s not my job to go out there and make an ass out of myself.”
Theron has been able to keep her own long-term relationship with actor Stuart Townsend out of the tabloids even when working on the same project. Theron stars in the upcoming Townsend-directed Battle in Seattle.
Despite having been with Irish-actor boyfriend Stuart Townsend for seven years, Charlize Theron feels no seven-year itch to wander - or to get married, either.
“I think if you are in a one- or two-year relationship, love is enough. You can thrive on that,” the Monster Oscar winner, 32, tells Glamour for its July issue.
But, adds Theron, “when you hit years three and four, you realize that if you’re going to live with somebody … you have to be nurtured emotionally and spiritually, and you have to be intrigued. Because if that intrigue runs out, you’re not going to want to go home anymore.”
As for why Townsend is the special one for her, Theron says, “He’s got beautiful feet and hands.”
Echoing her previous sentiments, Theron, who costars with Will Smith in the upcoming Hancock, notes she is not ready for marriage. “Even when I was a little girl I never dreamed of the white dress and all of that,” she says.
“I want to be clear: I am not judgmental about %26#91;the institution of%26#93; marriage. I am judgmental about how our government doesn’t want to see the reality of gay and lesbian marriages.”
When Charlize Theron discusses her boyfriend of seven years, Irish actor Stuart Townsend, she’s apt to get primal.
“Man, woman. Like to touch each other,” is the Monster Oscar winner’s “cavewoman grunt” response when asked about their relationship by W magazine, for its June issue.
Though Theron, 32, refers to Townsend, 35, as her husband, and she even sports a ring on the proper finger, the two are, in fact, not legally wed, says the magazine. And that’s fine with Theron.
“I’ve always known that I’d be a mom from the time I was a little girl,” Theron adds.
She’s clearly had a good role model. The other person to whom Theron is close is her mother, Gerda, who lives near Charlize and Stuart in Southern California after having moved from the family’s native South Africa eight years ago.
Most weekends, says the actress - soon to be seen with Will Smith in Hancock - she and Townsend spend time with a close circle of friends and family. “We cook great dinners,” she says, “and have shared many bottles of great red wine.”

The following day, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Bois de Boulogne’s Pré Catelan restaurant. The couple also took time for a stroll in the Jardin des Plantes’ Natural History Museum followed by a private walk-in at the Da Vinci Code’s Eglise St. Sulpice.
• David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, sharing a double date at STK in Los Angeles with fellow Brit Kate Beckinsale and her husband Len Wiseman. “Posh was giggling and laughing the whole time,” says a fellow diner. • Enjoying a dinner with friends, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got cuddly before heading upstairs for a drink in the lounge at Foxtail in Los Angeles. And, later, when they got upstairs, their PDA fest upped a notch as they had a mini-makeout session, with Simpson at one point placing one leg over his.
