Christina Aguilera cites the birth of her son Max as the biggest inspiration for the title song of her new album, Keeps Gettin’ Better - A Decade of Hits.
Max gave her “a new sense of life, a new way of looking at myself,” the singer tells Entertainment Tonight Canada.
“I talk about being a super girl in the song ‘Keeps Getting Better’ and really that’s due in great deal to the fact that I’ve had a complete new appreciation for women in general, for what we’re capable of doing, of what our bodies are capable of undergoing, and creating” since the Jan. 12 birth of her son with husband Jordan Bratman.
“Absolutely, that’s part of it - that’s super girl. The do-it-all female, it’s just I have a great appreciation for my mother … it’s amazing the patience involved.
But Aguilera vows not to walk away from what she loves to do for Max’s sake.
“It’s very important to me as a mother to not lose sight of who I was before becoming a mother. I want to share with my son, what I’m passionate about, what I was about before he was born.”

Now that TRL is ending its 10-year run on MTV, Christina Aguilera is taking to the Web to premiere her new music video for her hit single, “Keeps Gettin’ Better,” on Monday afternoon.
The singer, 27, chose iLike.com, a social music Web site and Facebook application, to release her new video. In it, Aguilera travels through time - and costumes - to the present day.
“I really enjoyed making the video,” Aguilera says. “Being an artist who likes to play around with different looks, it was a lot of fun to portray various characters within the same shoot.”

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman welcomed a baby boy on Saturday at 10:05 p.m., PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively.
This is the first child for the 27-year-old singer and her music executive husband.
“Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!” a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE. “Mom is resting and doing well!”
Despite various media reports that Aguilera had her baby on Friday, Max - 6 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5 inches long - arrived late Saturday night in L.A.
The singer also posted a special video of her song “Save Me from Myself,” with footage from the couple’s personal wedding video.
“Just a little something to say ‘thank you’ for your undying love and support,” writes Aguilera. “It is in no small part because of you that I live such a blessed and wonderful life!”
Although Aguilera didn’t announce the gender of her baby while she was pregnant, she celebrated the bundle of joy’s pending arrival with a blue-themed baby shower in November.
The singer, who was mum on her pregnancy for months despite rumors and a visible bump, officially confirmed she was expecting in November - eight weeks after Paris Hilton prematurely spilled the beans at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas. “Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You’re gorgeous,” Hilton announced to a crowded room, stunning Aguilera and Bratman.
Later in November, Aguilera bared her growing belly on the cover of Marie Claire. In the article, she revealed that although she’d wanted to have a baby, it happened sooner than she’d expected, following a visit from Bratman while she was on tour last April.
“You’ve heard it takes some time - except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, can you believe it just happened?’ ”
Aguilera also addressed her silence on the matter in the earlier stages of her pregnancy, telling the magazine, “Because I hadn’t said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that’s not the case at all. I just wasn’t commenting. I’m not being like, ‘Hey, everybody, I’m pregnant!’ I’m not that girl.”
Married to Bratman since November 2005, Aguilera had babies on her mind back in July 2006, when she said on Britain’s GMTV morning show, “In five years’ time I’d probably like to start thinking about a child.” Now, she’s gotten her wish - just a little bit earlier than she expected.

• Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman, supporting musician pal Linda Perry’s latest project, a heavy-metal band she’s producing called Bigelf, at the Roxy in Hollywood. “They snuck in discreetly,” a fellow concertgoer tells us of the pair, who snuggled in a booth at the rock show. The only time Aguilera got up was to chat with Perry, who sat catty-corner to them in a booth. The singer and her hubby were equally low-key at the afterparty at the venue’s upstairs bar, On The Rox, where they stuck to their corner booth.
• At West Hollywood’s House of Blues Sunset Strip, a star-studded audience checked out some very different music at Robin Thicke’s concert. Halle Berry sat on the balcony with Gabriel Aubry by her side. “They were very sweet with each other,” an onlooker says of the couple - who were joined at the show by four friends. Berry sipped chardonnay during the show. Meanwhile, on the other side of the balcony, Britney Spears bopped in her seat to the music. The pop star chatted all night with a blonde woman at her table. Also enjoying the music: Thicke’s wife, Paula Patton, who hugged Berry at one point and Diddy.
• Ashley Tisdale, checking out the Los Angeles Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium with her beau Jared Murillo and her parents. “She seemed really happy to be there,” an onlooker tells us. The High School Musical star happily mugged for the camera when she appeared on the JumboTron. “Then %26#91;she%26#93; covered her mouth like she was a little shy or embarrassed,” says the onlooker. “But I think she got a kick out of everything.”
• Still going strong, Lauren Conrad and My Boys actor Kyle Howard sipped drinks and coyly smiled at each other while enjoying jazz night at Teddy’s inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The duo floated around all night, and made time to chat with their friends. At one point, they headed out to the patio, where Conrad placed her arms on Howard’s shoulders.

Make no mistake, Christina Aguilera loves her baby. But she likes the nightlife, too.
“Once in a while, if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that,” the singer - who gave birth to son Max Liron in January - told Access Hollywood.
“I spend all day with my son,” Aguilera, 27, told the TV show - adding that any criticism of her late-night outings with husband Jordan Bratman is downright “mean spirited.”
“Everybody has an opinion and everybody sometimes wants to cause drama,” she said. “But it’s something that comes with what you do and I learned that very early on.”

At just a month old, Max Bratman is fussing, and his parents - pop diva Christina Aguilera and her husband, Jordan Bratman - are playing a guessing game familiar to every mom and dad: Tired? Hungry? Gassy? The two keep their cool as they try a trusted bag of tricks for soothing their son. First it’s his favorite blue blanket. No luck. Then the baby swing that’s “worth every penny,” says the proud papa. Not this…
This week’s PEOPLE cover subject Christina Aguilera is happy to chat about motherhood - every
aspect of her new role, in fact. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show scheduled to air Wednesday, the talk-show host playfully
asks the pop star - who sported a low-cut shirt - “You look
great. One question: Are you nursing?”
A blushing Aguilera responded: “I guess it’s a little obvious,” and DeGeneres quipped back, “It’s going to be a
healthy baby boy.” (Watch the clip here.)
Aguilera, 27, did not demure when talked turned to her son’s Bris. “We are
not a very conservative couple,” she told DeGeneres. “For decorations we put
up penis balloons all over the place. It was really fun, it was really
great.” A stunned Ellen replied: “Really, they have penis balloons
in a shop … you can just buy them?”
