Svelte star Jessica Alba didn’t look like the typical new mom at the Keep A Child Alive 5th Annual Black Ball Thursday, but all she could talk about was her 5-month-old daughter, Honor Marie.

“Everything is cute, everything is fun,” the actress told PEOPLE, “including the explosive diarrhea - the best ever.”

Alba says that life with Honor Marie has brought her and husband Cash Warren closer. “It brings family together. It brings friends together. It makes every decision that you make that much more important.”

The next milestone in Honor’s life: her first word. “I think she accidentally says ‘Mama’ when she’s crying,” says Alba. “But I don’t know if it is on purpose yet.”

Despite her life as a busy new mom, Alba has found time to get back in shape. “I worked out - not for hours, but I definitely had to work out. And I ate, not a lot of sweets and not a lot of cream. I kept a pretty simple organic diet, which I do now anyway.”

All of which puts Alba in a happy place. “She’s the love of my life,” says Alba. “The love is profound. She gives everything more meaning.”

For Jessica Alba, motherhood means eco-friendly living - and plenty of couch-jumping.

“It’s kid-friendly, animal-friendly,” the actress, 27, tells In Style magazine of the newly renovated L.A. canyon home she shares with husband Cash Warren and their 5-month-old daughter Honor Marie.

“You can jump on the sofas, walk around barefoot,” she says in the magazine’s November issue. “There’s nothing off-limits here.”

“The energy here is so inviting - it is open and playful,” says Alba. “And everywhere you look, inside and out, you get to see a part of nature.”

As for how Warren, 29, contributes to the new house, Alba says, “he’s pretty organized for a dude.”

The issue hits newsstands Friday.

Every horror story has a sequel, and Jessica Alba is again using shock value to get the word out about the importance of voting.

The actress poses for another ad in the Declare Yourself campaign, this time sporting a Hannibal Lecter-type mask called The Muzzler in her provocative appeal to young voters.

Explaining her passion for the campaign, Alba said, “If you don’t register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.”

Jessica Alba, who appears in a in new bondage-inspired campaign for the voter group Declare Yourself, isn’t afraid to employ a little shock value for a cause she believes in.

“I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically,” says Alba. “People respond to things that are shocking.”

The dramatic image “really resonates” with the issue of voting, according to the 27-year-old star. “If you don’t register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.”

Of taking the photos, shot by photographer Marc Liddel, Alba says, “It didn’t freak me out at all. What I like about Marc’s work is that he tells a story and brings real emotion to his pictures.”

On a lighter note, Alba also has plenty to say about her 3-month-old baby Honor. “So far %26#91;motherhood%26#93; is the best thing ever,” she says. “It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her.”

For their first trip with 3-month old baby Honor Marie, Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren feared the worst. But they got what every couple with a newborn hopes for: A quiet flight.

“It’s always nerve-racking for new parents to fly with their child because you never know if you’re going to ruin everyone else’s flight with a screaming baby,” Warren wrote on his blog ibeatyou.com about their first trip as a family - a jaunt from Los Angeles to Denver for last week’s Democratic National Convention.

“We sit down and cross our fingers that she will sleep,” continued Warren, 31. “She does …. Nothing really exciting happened on the flight except the energy of what was to come was already palpable.”

“To date, Honor has been a great baby,” wrote Warren. “Rarely crying. Opting to express herself through simple Haiku’s or interpretive dance instead … yeah right.”

But that doesn’t mean the trip was without incident.

Warren said that they were very late arriving at the airport and that he spent time “cussing out the two lame photogs that were waiting at the airport for Jay-Eh” - which is the 27-year-old Alba’s handle on the Web site, where she also has a blog.

Just two months after giving birth to daughter Honor Marie, Jessica Alba is 25 lbs. lighter - and her trainer is telling PEOPLE just how she did it.

“Jessica went from a size 8 to a size 4 pretty quickly,” says Alba’s longtime trainer Ramona Braganza. The actress - who flaunted her post-baby body at the ALMA Awards on Aug. 17 - has been opting for a low-fat, low-carb diet as part of Braganza’s 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone plan.

She has been sweating, too: With an elliptical machine and treadmill at home, Alba, 27, has resumed her routine of core exercises, cardio and circuit training.

“The baby always comes first, but Jessica definitely set goals for herself,” says Braganza, who now trains Alba six days a week.

And having a workout buddy helped. “She loves working out with a girlfriend,” says Braganza, whose client, actress Jamie King, frequently trains with Alba.

Says Braganza: “Jessica has made amazing progress in a very short time.”

New mom Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, are cheering on Team USA all the way.

“I don’t know about you all but Cash and I have been glued to the Olympics,” Alba writes on the MySpace Celebrity Blog. “The men’s 400M relay was insane … Cash and I went crazy. The shot of Michael Phelps after the race ended cheering with his teammates is so memorable. The last time I got this excited watching sports was when Baron was in the NBA playoffs.” (The couple’s good friend, Baron Davis, is a pro basketball star.)

Angelina Jolie may love being pregnant, but not everyone in Hollywood is similarly gushing.

“I never felt less sexy,” Jessica Alba says of her own pregnancy. “I mean, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world … but I wanted to get rid of all the weight.”

The actress, who gave birth to her daughter, Honor Marie, last month, opened up about motherhood - and her recent wedding to Cash Warren - in the August U.K. edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.

“I never thought I’d find a man before 30, let alone marry him and have his baby,” she told the magazine. “I always used to meet the wrong guys - the ones who wanted to hang out for a week and see how far they could get. If you didn’t have sex in the first few days, you were either frigid or a lesbian. So I held out - and, boy, am I glad I did!”

“We’re not a typical Hollywood couple,” she said. “I love that he’s not an actor. I’m way too high maintenance to be in a relationship with an actor - they’re all such divas!”

Warren has also been instrumental in keeping Alba grounded during her rapid transformation into wife and mother.

“Nothing was planned - the pregnancy or the wedding,” she admitted. “But he took it in his stride and convinced me we’d conquer all!”

Mom-to-be Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have gotten married, PEOPLE confirms.

The couple quietly wed Monday, says her rep, Brad Cafarelli.

According to a source, they were married in the Beverly Hills courthouse’s ceremony room under an arch of green silk foliage and white flowers. They were casually dressed, with Alba wearing a long blue dress and her hair back in a ponytail.

“She looked happy but nervous,” the source says.

Warren, in a white shirt and brown pants, arrived with Alba at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, applied for a marriage license and waited about 40 minutes for the paperwork to be processed before a staff member from the courthouse married them, the source says.

Alba, 27, is expecting a daughter with Warren, 31, this summer. The couple met while filming Fantastic Four and were engaged last December.

After confirming her pregnancy, Alba said she’s been in “frantic nesting mode,” taking time off from acting to get the house ready for the baby.

New mom Jessica Alba gave birth to her first child, Honor Marie Warren, last month. Now she’s carefully considering how she and husband Cash Warren will influence their daughter.

“Kids’ personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality,” the 27-year-old tells Britain’s Sunday Express for their S Magazine. “If you’re very paranoid and uptight and won’t let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you’re a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you’ll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I’ll find out.”

“I’ve been reading a lot about kids and infections, autism and vaccinations,” adds Alba, who suffered from health problems as a child. “I’ve come to think that perhaps I was a product of my environment or the vaccines or something my mother took when she was pregnant.”

Already, Alba finds that her own eating habits have drastically changed.

“I used to be a just a coffee for breakfast, yogurt for lunch girl,” she tells the magazine. “Now I have to have something every couple of hours. I turn into Satan if I don’t eat.”
