What’s in a name? For newborn Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, quite a bit.

The beautiful baby girl, who was born on July 7 in Nashville to parents Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, is named after early 20th-century artist’s muse Sunday Reed, PEOPLE has confirmed. Her middle name, Rose, is a nod to Urban’s late grandmother Rose.

“I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John - she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century,” Kidman’s father Antony told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph. “The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it.”

The exhibition featured a quote from Nolan that was scrawled across a wall: “When you are young you are given a good view of life, because of your closeness to birth.”

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is only a day old - but she’s already a superstar in the country music world.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcomed the newborn Monday morning in Nashville. And ever since then, their famous friends have been quick to offer up congratulations.

Taylor Swift was vacationing in Hawaii when she got the news, and she excitedly took to her blog. “Even just thinking about it now, I’m tearing up because I’m so happy for them,” she wrote on her MySpace page.

“They’re such incredible people,” she gushed. “Nicole Kidman came to Nashville and treated everyone with grace and respect, and has always been so humble. I’m overjoyed for them.”

American Idol’s Michael Johns was also thrilled for the new parents when PEOPLE broke the news to him.

“That’s awesome!” he enthused Monday before the A.I. tour stop at the L.A. Staples Center. (The Australian native has become fast friends with the superstar twosome.)

“They’re genuinely a happy couple - it’s not a Hollywood thing,” he said. “They really, really do love each other. So anytime a baby can be born into that situation, it’s pretty cool.”

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is already feeling the love from her grandmother, Janelle, and her auntie, Antonia, both of whom traveled from Sydney, Australia, for her arrival.

“The birth of Nicole and Keith’s daughter is such wonderful news and a beautiful addition to our family,” Nicole’s sister, Antonia Kidman, tells PEOPLE. “We’re all absolutely thrilled with the new arrival.”

The Kidmans arrived in Nashville over the weekend from Sydney while Nicole’s father, Antony, stayed behind to watch over his other grandchildren.

Antonia, who has four children of her own, and her mother plan to remain in Nashville for the next several days.

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban may only be a few hours old but she’s already getting a warm, country welcome from her parents’ friends.

Country music star Ronnie Dunn, of Brooks %26#38; Dunn, celebrated the Fourth of July with the couple at his home in Nashville, where Nicole Kidman told the singer she was ready to pop.

“Nicole told me Friday night that she was hoping that my fireworks would do it,” Dunn says. “I’m overjoyed for them.”

The couple’s baby girl was born Monday morning in Nashville and weighed 6 lbs., 7.5 oz. The pregnancy was first announced in January. Kidman has two other children with her former husband Tom Cruise: Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13.

Fellow country singer and good friend, LeAnn Rimes, says she knows the couple “will be wonderful parents.”

“Nicole and Keith are two of the most kind, caring people I know,” Rimes says. “I am thrilled for them.”

Keith Urban joined pal Kenny Chesney for a hometown concert in Nashville Saturday, and hinted to the crowd of nearly 50,000 that he expects to be a dad soon - very, very soon.

“I’m going to dedicate a song to my very, very, very, very, VERY pregnant wife!” Urban said with a laugh, before singing his hit, “Better Half.”

His real-life better half, Nicole Kidman, wasn’t far away. Kidman, dressed in a brown crinkled silk dress with her hair worn loose and curly, slipped backstage at Nashville’s LP Field just after Urban began his hour-long set.

Urban and Kidman spent the previous evening at pal Ronnie Dunn’s house for the Brooks %26 Dunn singer’s annual July 4 party that features a homemade fireworks show.

There was speculation that Urban might join headliner Kenny Chesney. Instead, the singer left the stage after his set to join his wife. The two walked hand-in-hand, pausing briefly to wave to the crowd, to a waiting golf cart that whisked them away.

“Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well,” said spokesman Paul Freundlich, who added that the couple were “delighted” to make the announcement. He also said the baby girl weighed 6 lbs., 7.5 oz.

The pregnancy was first announced in January. Kidman has two other children with her former husband Tom Cruise: Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13.

From early morning stops at a local Starbucks for warm drinks to a little sweat at the gym later in the day (Kidman was a regular at spin and yoga classes during her pregnancy), the couple remained low-key.

“She’s never been happier and healthier,” says a close family friend. “She is absolutely radiant and enjoying nesting and homemaking with Keith at their new home in Nashville.”

But getting ready for their baby was a priority. Urban admitted he was learning a new vocabulary for fatherhood and doing Lamaze lessons. “He doesn’t know the name %26#91;of the classes%26#93;, but he has been very good at it!” Kidman told a local radio station on June 24.

The new parents also bought a couple of books to help them along: Pocket Dad: Everyday Wisdom and Your Pregnancy, Week By Week.

“The unknown excites me a lot,” Urban told reporters in May. “What kind of feelings will fatherhood bring? I’m sure I can’t even imagine, but I am really looking forward to finding out.”

A delighted Keith Urban is expressing his and Nicole Kidman’s baby joy on the World Wide Web.

Shortly after the birth announcement was made, the singer released a statement on his Web site: “Earlier this morning Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today.”

The couple welcomed their daughter early Monday morning in Nashville. A spokesman for the couple tells PEOPLE, “Mother and baby are very well.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban kicked off their second wedding anniversary on June 25 in their typical laidback style.

The day began with an early a.m. trip to one of their favorite spots: a Starbucks in Franklin, Tenn. After pulling up in their black Bentley, the couple - dressed in workout gear and baseball caps - strolled inside hand-in-hand and lingered over drinks and a scone.

The twosome then had lunch that afternoon at a local Whole Foods with Urban’s songwriter pal Monty Powell and his wife.

These days, the expectant parents - whose baby is due “soon,” according to Urban - have been doing more than hitting their usual haunts together: They’ve been taking Lamaze lessons. During a June 24 interview with Nashville’s WSIX-FM, Urban initially denied he was in the birthing class, but a surprise phone call revealed otherwise.

“Hi, this is Keith’s wife!” Kidman said. “Actually, Keith has been doing Lamaze lessons, he is selling himself short! He doesn’t know the name %26#91;of the classes%26#93; but he has been very good at it!”

Urban (who previously admitted he was learning a new vocabulary for fatherhood) thanked his wife for coming to his defense. “I knew there was breathing involved!” he said.

When Kidman added that she was on her way to the station but was stuck in traffic, radio host Gerry House asked her to stop at a nearby shop and pick him up a salad for lunch. Twenty minutes later, she arrived with a bag in hand.

“Here you go, Gerry - one Woodmont Salad,” she said.

House thanked her profusely, but confessed, “I have no intention of eating this. Are you kidding? Lunch delivered by Nicole Kidman? I’m having it bronzed!”

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are expecting their first child, her rep confirms.

“The couple are thrilled,” Catherine Olim says in a statement.

For Kidman, 40, this will be her third child. She and her former husband, Tom Cruise adopted two children during their marriage: Isabella, now 15, and Connor, 12.

The couple, who have been married 18 months, wed, after a yearlong courtship, on June 25, 2006, in a candlelit ceremony at Sydney, Australia’s Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick’s Estate at Manly. Guests at the black-tie event included Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Rupert Murdoch.

Before the couple even started dating, Kidman made her desire for more children clear. In April 2005, she told reporters that her biological clock was ticking. “I have got hormones running through my system,” she said. “That is why I sit wriggling, saying I want to have a baby.”

• Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, taking a yoga class together at Santa Monica studio Yogahop. “They were really cute together,” a source tells us. Witherspoon (whose divorce from Ryan Phillippe was recently finalized) is a regular at the studio, but it was Gyllenhaal’s first time there. “Reese was making sure he was comfortable,” says the source. “They left a bit early and he seemed happy to go through it and be with her. He was really nice and seemed like a really cool dude.”

• Audrina Patridge and new beau Tal Cooperman, holding hands and whispering to each other at Hollywood club Goa. The couple hung out in a booth near the dance floor with pro snowboarder (and Olympic medalist) Shaun White and a group of friends. Also making the scene: Paris Hilton and Benji Madden, who openly made out with each other on the venue’s patio, and Raven-Symoné, who gave her female friend a playful lap dance to Justin Timberlake’s “Love Stoned.”

• Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, having an intimate lunch at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The two were sitting at a regular table and then asked to move to a more private booth. “They were super cute and were cuddling and kissing the whole time,” says a fellow diner.

• Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia, staying close together at the Scrabble Under the Stars charity tournament benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Hospital at a private home in Beverly Hills. The Heroes stars arrived at around 10:30 pm, and casually mingled with friends as they watched Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Skeet Ulrich and Jimmy Kimmel - who won the event - and a host of celebs test their vocabulary mettle. “They were together the whole time,” says a guest. “They didn’t leave each other’s sides.”

• Kate Bosworth and model beau James Rosseau, holding hands and being “very affectionate” at West Hollywood lounge Coco de Ville. The actress, who was celebrating the birthday of a producer pal from her movie 21, spent time catching up with costar Kevin Spacey but her focus was on Rousseau, whose hand was on her lower back as they chatted with a group of friends. “He was very attentive to her, they were very sweet and you could tell they were very much in love and comfortable together,” says a fellow guest.
