Ryan Reynolds Gets Marriage Advice from Michael J. Fox

In his first TV interview since his top-secret marriage to , Ryan Reynolds stops by the show Wednesday to talk marathons, munchies and marriage.

Having recently completed the New York City Marathon in honor of his father who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, Reynolds, 32, brought along surprise guest Michael J. Fox to discuss the 26.2-mile ordeal.

When Ray asked about Reynolds’s pre-race blogs - which chronicled his concern about nipple bleeding, a common affliction for marathoners thanks to the friction from their T-shirts - the Definitely, Maybe star gamely bantered back, “Thankfully all three nipples are fine.”

‘Slack-Jawed Horror’

Moving on to more cooking-show-appropriate conversation, they also discussed his post-finish-line meal. Claiming to have chowed down nearly 10,000 calories, Reynolds said he polished off two chocolate sundaes, three tuna wraps and some spaghetti and meatballs.

“Onlookers were just in slack-jawed horror,” he quipped.

Not to be outdone by his comedic counterpart, Fox happily piped in to impart some pearls of wisdom for the newlywed.

“Just remember this,” Fox warned his friend, “If a man says something in the forest and his wife isn’t there to hear him, he’s still wrong.” An apt pupil, Reynolds quickly agreed: “Well said!”

The actress, 23, made the journey with (RED), the initiative to help fight AIDS in Africa through business and consumer power.

“It was important for me to come here and see the issues we’re up against firsthand,” Johansson says in a statement. “I came here with an open mind, wanting to listen, understand and learn; I leave with the overwhelming understanding that the small action of making a (RED) choice in your purchases … has an enormous impact on the lives of people in countries like Rwanda.”

Alanis Is %26#39;Really Happy%26#39; for Ryan Reynolds | Alanis Morissette, Ryan Reynolds Here’s one more thing you oughta know: Alanis Morissette has nothing but nice things to say about her ex-fiancé Ryan Reynolds. Even now that he’s engaged to .

“I’m really happy for him,” the singer, who called off her engagement to Reynolds in 2007, told Newsweek.

Sounds so reasonable! Where is that trademark anger that made Morissette a star with Jagged Little Pill?

“I think anger is an incredible life force, and I’m proud of my own anger,” she told the magazine. “I’d been repressing for a long time … A lot was squashed down, and all of a sudden I had this freedom to write whatever I wanted, so of course this was going to come out.”

recently described her singing voice as tinkerbell on cough syrup.

Judge for yourself.

Fans of the actress-turned-singer can take an online listen to five songs from her new album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, due to be released May 20 on Rhino Records.

With tousled hair pulled back, the un-glammed actress (jeans, sleeveless summer pinafore), 23, croons covers of the Tom Waits tunes “Falling Down,” “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” “Green Grass,” “Who Are You” and “Yesterday Is Here” with video taken from studio sessions in Louisiana with her equally un-glam band.

The surprise? That Jonhasson - so blonde and ethereal-looking - sings in a very monotone, alto, throaty chant.

The verdict?

So far, listeners on the web site have given Johansson a five-star rating.

Marriage has always been part of ’s plans, a pal tells PEOPLE.

“I was just so happy when she told me %26#91;about her engagement to Ryan Reynolds, 31%26#93;,” said designer Roland Mouret - who just saw the actress at Monday’s Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York.

“It’s something she’s really wanted - to meet someone and get married,” he added, speaking to PEOPLE at the Vogue magazine launch of Tim Walker’s portraits in London. “She’s just such a great person and I’m so happy for her and wish her every happiness. She deserves it.”

But if you’re handicapping the Johansson wedding dress design sweepstakes, don’t include Mouret.

“No, no - it’s not me,” he said, laughing.

Still, the fashion-forward Johansson will have no shortage of options when it comes to her gown. In fact, Stella McCartney has already volunteered for the job.

Scarlett Sings Like %26#39;Tinkerbell on Cough Syrup%26#39; | Scarlett Johansson

May is shaping up to be a busy month for .

Last week she announced her engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds. And in less than two weeks, the 23-year-old will release her debut album.

Johansson and her music producer, TV on the Radio’s David Andrew Sitek, call her sound “Tinkerbell on cough syrup.”

“I’m not trying to prove anything on this album,” Johansson says in a statement. “I just love (Tom Waits’) music.”

The album also features one new track called “Song for Jo,” which Johansson wrote with Sitek. “I had never really written a song before. I’d only written poems or short stories,” she says.

“It was a memory of someone that’s very close to me: a vague and blissful memory of my wanton youth or whatever. It’s a song about friendship, I think.”

David Bowie sings backup on two tracks: the first single, “Falling Down,” and “Fannin Street.”

Is Johansson concerned about what her movie fans might think? “I never worry about that kind of thing,” she says. “I hope people enjoy it.”

Anywhere I Lay My Head will become available May 20 on Rhino Records.
