They broke up in February but former competitive biker Carey Hart still holds hope for a future with his estranged wife, Pink.

Hart, 33, tells PEOPLE he’s not sure if his marriage to Pink, 28, is retrievable, but “I would like to have wishful thinking and say, ‘Yes.’ Only time will tell.”

Their plan?

“Maintain a friendship, and who knows what will happen when we get older,” Hart said Friday at the Flo-TV X-Games party in West Hollywood. “For the next three years, we’re both extremely busy people so it’s tough.”

But Hart admits there’s not much time left to do one thing he’s really looking forward to - being a dad.

“I am %26#91;on a time clock%26#93;,” Hart says. “I don’t want to do it past 35. My body is so destroyed, and I want to be a fun, young dad, not crippled and beat up. So I’d like to %26#91;have kids%26#93; by 35. I want ‘em!”

Gunfire erupted early Saturday at an Atlanta nightclub party sponsored by Jermaine Dupri and attended by music stars Usher, Nelly and Sean “Diddy” Combs. A security guard was reportedly wounded.

“I’m sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. But I’m happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues,” Dupri tells PEOPLE in a statement.

The shots were fired at about 3:30 a.m. at the party at Dreamz ATL after some guests were allegedly double-charged by security guards to enter, DeKalb County police spokesman Marcus Hodge tells WSBTV.

The party also was attended by actresses Gabrielle Union and Regina King and actor Larenz Tate.

“I didn’t hear the shots, but around 3:30 a.m., everybody started ducking,” party guest Nigel D. of realtalkny.net tells PEOPLE. “Nobody really knew what happened. It was dark in the club. And everyone was trying to get out of the VIP area, but there were so many people no one could really move.”

An announcement was made that the sound wasn’t shots but a bottle popping or a speaker problem, “But people, including the celebs, were still trying to leave, so I don’t think anyone believed them,” he says. “I got outside, and the cops shut the club down. No one inside could leave and no one outside in the parking lot could leave either. One of my friends was stuck inside the club and people were scared that the shooter was still inside.”

The marriage of pop singer Pink and her husband of two years, motocross racer and former The Surreal Life star Carey Hart, has ended, the singer’s publicist, Michele Schweitzer, tells PEOPLE.

“Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another,” says Schweitzer, adding, “While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger.”

They married in January 2006 at a non-denominational ceremony in Costa Rica. Among the 100 guests was Lisa Marie Presley.

In August 2007, amid reports that the marriage was on the rocks, Hart dismissed the stories as “just a bunch of trash talk.”

Shia LaBeouf’s left hand was “crushed” in a weekend traffic accident and runs the risk of infection, the actor’s lawyer said Friday.

“The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia’s vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia’s left hand was crushed,” said his attorney Michael Norris in a statement.

“Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then,” the statement continues. “His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications.”

LaBeouf, 22, suffered the injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle in West Hollywood at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

“We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident,” the lawyer says.

“We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said. “The case is still under investigation.”

Shortly after the accident, LaBeouf was cited for misdemeanor DUI because “he was showing obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath,” sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf told PEOPLE.

The actor has yet to be formally charged with any crime.

Buzz Aldrin may have been the second man on the moon, but he’s also got his eyes set on Hollywood - especially Reese Witherspoon.

The former astronaut, 78, is in talks for a proposed film about the battles he faced after his Apollo flight - and his subsequent love story, he told reporters Thursday at the New York premiere of the animated 3-D feature Fly Me to the Moon. Aldrin did voice work for the film.

As for casting the role of his wife of 20 years, Lois, Aldrin envisions Oscar-winner Witherspoon, 32.

“Lois likes Reese Witherspoon,” he says, “because she played a similar part in Walk the Line.”

“My experiences post-flight were ones of not being very productive for quite awhile - depression and alcoholism, things like that,” says Aldrin. “I was trying to recover from that and ran into %26#91;Lois%26#93; afterwards.”

Asked if Lois straightened him out, Aldrin responded with a laugh. “Nah,” he insists, “I was already straight.”

Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and her father were arrested on assault charges Friday following a brawl involving the family of America’s Top Model contestant Bianca Golden in a Caribbean airport, police tell PEOPLE.

The 19-year-old actress was released on bail, while her father, Carl Bronsky, remained in jail. Golden was also arrested and released on bail. Golden’s mother Elaine was reportedly hospitalized with serious injuries.

Sgt. Calvin Chase from the Providenciales Police Department in the Turks and Caicos Islands said the fight erupted

in the departure lounge of the Providenciales International Airport after everyone had gone through security.

“Things got out of hand in an argument over seats in the departure lounge, and several people were involved in an altercation,” Chase tells PEOPLE. “There were some injuries involved.”

Her father Carl was charged with grevious bodily harm, meaning the victim was injured so severely they needed immediate medical care. The charge carries a five-year maximum sentence. Carl will remain in jail for nine days until a hearing is set on his bail, says Chase.

Bianca Golden was charged with assault with actual bodily harm.

A rep for Blonsky declined to comment.

Bernie Mac was hospitalized in Chicago for pneumonia, his rep tells PEOPLE.

“Mr. Mac is responding well to treatment and will be released soon,” his rep says in a statement. “He asked that his privacy and that of his family is respected while he gets well.”

The rep says the pneumonia is not related to Mac’s diagnosis of sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in organs such as the lungs or lymph nodes.

Mac, 50, has been in remission from sarcoidosis since 2005, when he announced he had been suffering from the disease for the previous two decades.

The New Kids on the Block are preparing to release their new album, and PEOPLE.com has an exclusive first look at the cover.

The band will release The Block on Sept. 2 - and the guys have previewed two singles from the disc. The first, “Summertime,” debuted in June - the perfect synth-pop, summer anthem.

Earlier this week, the NKOTB unveiled their second single, appropriately called “Single,” which features guest vocals by Ne-Yo. Also on the CD: guest spots from New Edition (they collaborate on “Full Service”) and the Pussycat Dolls, who appear on “Grown Man.”

Shia LaBeouf was spotted sporting a new cast following extensive surgery to his left hand after a July 27 accident in which the Transformers 2 star’s truck flipped over in West Hollywood.

Wearing a plain white T-shirt with the left sleeve ripped off above his injured appendage, the 22-year-old took a stroll outside in Los Angeles Thursday.

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay says the film crew will find a way to work around LaBeouf’s injury, and that the young actor wasn’t drunk at the time of the accident, despite his arrest for a misdemeanor DUI.

On Tuesday, a sheriff’s spokesman said LaBeouf may not have been at fault for the crash, since the other driver apparently ran a red light.

Shia LaBeouf may not have been at fault in a crash that flipped his truck early Sunday morning in West Hollywood, according to authorities.

“It appears he was not at fault,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Tuesday. “We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light.”

After the accident, LaBeouf, 22, was booked on suspicion of DUI at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where he received extensive surgery on injuries to his left hand.

In the car with LaBeouf was his Transformers 2 costar Isabel Lucas, 23, who, in addition to the other driver, did not sustain serious injuries.

Earlier that evening, the Indiana Jones star was seen drinking at a West Hollywood music venue.

LaBeouf has yet to be formally charged with any crime.
