was spotted sporting a new cast following extensive surgery to his left hand after a July 27 accident in which the Transformers 2 star’s truck flipped over in West Hollywood.

Wearing a plain white T-shirt with the left sleeve ripped off above his injured appendage, the 22-year-old took a stroll outside in Los Angeles Thursday.

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay says the film crew will find a way to work around LaBeouf’s injury, and that the young actor wasn’t drunk at the time of the accident, despite his arrest for a misdemeanor DUI.

On Tuesday, a sheriff’s spokesman said LaBeouf may not have been at fault for the crash, since the other driver apparently ran a red light.
