The “Hannah Montana” hottie enjoyed a delicious dinner with her mother Tish at Morton’s steakhouse following her segment over at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

Christina Aguilera as a performer at the 36th Annual American Music Awards next Sunday, November 23rd (her 16th birthday).

Miss Cyrus told press, “I am so excited to be able to perform live for my fans at the American Music Awards and celebrate my Sweet 16 too.”

Stepping out to indulge her penchant for retail therapy, Christina Aguilera was spotted along with her husband Jordan Bratman exiting the Fred Segal boutique in Los Angeles last night (November 13).

The “Keeps Getting Better” songstress looked positively gorgeous in a low-cut black longsleeve dress, grasping her hubby’s hand as she walked down a flight of stairs.

Regarding her recent performance on the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, Christina told press, “I wanted to give [fans] a little sneak preview of what’s to come [with the VMA performance]. The vein of the new material is a futuristic take on what is inspiring me at the moment … and it’s got a very pop-art feel, visually.”

She continued, “[There's a] throwback to Andy Warhol and all the colors and vividness and bright boldness that was in that artwork. I’m a big collector of pop art and graffiti art at this point, too — D*Face and Banksy, also Roy Lichtenstein … and it’s been very fun venturing off into that zone.”

“I was very inspired by the look and feel of that [pop-art] genre, your Jane Birkins, your Blondies, females who have come before who have done this so many times and so well — almost as an homage to them. Also, speaking of Warhol, Nico from the Velvet Underground … so it all kind of ties in to a pop-art feel and twist, with a mod look. But a futuristic taste of what’s to come.”

The end of an era is upon us. No more screaming girls, audience voting or top-10 video countdowns. MTV has announced the star-studded line-up of performers for the final episode of Total Request Live on Sunday.

But the show - dubbed “Total Finale Live” - will definitely go out with a bang. Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera will share their memories of the show while Kid Rock and JC Chasez will perform their hits on the show one last time, according to MTV.

Former hosts Carson Daly and Quddus will be in the studio to reminisce about their days as veejays, and rappers Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Nelly will come together for a one-time only collaboration.

Other special performers include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Diddy.

After 10 years on the air, TRL’s Total Finale Live will air Nov. 16 at 8 pm ET/PT.November 16 at 8 pm ET/PT.

Christina Aguilera cites the birth of her son Max as the biggest inspiration for the title song of her new album, Keeps Gettin’ Better - A Decade of Hits.

Max gave her “a new sense of life, a new way of looking at myself,” the singer tells Entertainment Tonight Canada.

“I talk about being a super girl in the song ‘Keeps Getting Better’ and really that’s due in great deal to the fact that I’ve had a complete new appreciation for women in general, for what we’re capable of doing, of what our bodies are capable of undergoing, and creating” since the Jan. 12 birth of her son with husband Jordan Bratman.

“Absolutely, that’s part of it - that’s super girl. The do-it-all female, it’s just I have a great appreciation for my mother … it’s amazing the patience involved.

But Aguilera vows not to walk away from what she loves to do for Max’s sake.

“It’s very important to me as a mother to not lose sight of who I was before becoming a mother. I want to share with my son, what I’m passionate about, what I was about before he was born.”

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old songstress is gearing up for the upcoming release of her greatest hits album, “Keeps Gettin’ Better — A Decade of Hits”.

Of the album, Christina told MTV News, “It was really gratifying to see how much hard work I’ve put in over the last 10 years. When you’re in it, you just don’t realize as it accumulates how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come. I can’t believe it’s been a decade already. [On the album,] I wanted to include all the songs that I know I loved and that are crowd pleasers and real staples of my career thus far.”

Following a change of clothes, the “Genie in a Bottle” songstress was spotted out with her husband Jordan Bratman shopping for their son Max at the Juvenile Shop.

And while life is pretty sweet for the blonde chanteuse, she’s not willing to rest on her laurels. According to a recent report, she’s already looking ahead to the next album.

Aguilera has reportedly already hit the studio to record some new tracks, teaming up with producer Linda Perry to have an album of all-new songs in stores for the summer of 2009.

Christina told press, “With my last album, I had music that was very ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s, and was very detailed and part of a very specific genre and sound. But with this new album, I wanted to go in a completely opposite direction—a very futuristic, robotic sound and computer-sounding vocals.”
