Back home after a short trip to New York City for MTV TRL’s “Total Finale Live” last night, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie were spotted enjoying a little quality time together on Monday (November 17).

The cute couple walked hand-in-hand as they bought up some baby clothes for daughter Harlow at the Little Seed in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has just recently announced that Joel and Nicole will host UNICEF’s 2008 Beverly Hills Snowflake Lighting ceremony this coming Saturday (November 22).

They’re always up for high-profile Hollywood fun, and last night Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted at the 18th Annual Environmental Media Awards.

The “Simple Life” cutie and her Good Charlotte frontman boyfriend arrived at the Ebell Theatre to a throng of paparazzi, with Nicole looking elegant in a grey and black dress with strappy black heels.

Earlier in the day, Richie and Madden were out and about in Los Angeles, stopping into the Byron Allen hair salon for some beautification.

Nicole looked fun and flirty in a red paisley printed halter-style dress while Joel shamelessly self-promoted his DCMA line with a logo t-shirt, grey warm-up pants, and sneakers.

Taking a break from their daughter Harlow Winter, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted having a marvelous time at the opening of the Alberta Ferretti Flagship store on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood last night.

The “Simple Life” babe and her “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” rocker babydaddy happily posed for the paparazzi, with Richie looking ravishing in a floor-length sleeveless silver dress while Joel rocked a white v-neck shirt underneath a black blazer.

The former “Simple Life” starlet did her best to stay shielded by her bodyguard/driver, making her way to the car following her day’s court-ordered driving lessons.

Joel Madden will be kicking off the Christmas season this year on Rodeo Drive.

Proud grandfather Lionel Richie has some sage words for daughter Nicole Richie: Not only will her own daughter grow up fast, she’ll soon be moving fast, too.

“I call her ‘The Mouse’,” Richie said of his 10-month-old granddaughter, Harlow, “and The Mouse holds on to the edge of a chair now and is gaining the confidence to think, ‘Maybe these legs belong to me.’ I keep telling Nicole that it’s a bad sign, because once those legs gain confidence, then they’re out of here!”

Richie, whose new album, Just Go, hits stores next month, tells PEOPLE he continues to be amazed not only by Harlow’s growth, but that of his one-time wild-child, Nicole, who’s transformed into a devoted mom with boyfriend Joel Madden.

“We must be talking about someone other than my daughter! This is not the same Nicole that brings 15 friends over to my house while %26#91;Lionel’s daughters%26#93; Myles and Sofia are sleeping, and says, ‘Dad, what’s the problem?’ ”

Adds the elder Richie, “This is whole new territory, and I couldn’t be happier.”

• Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, holding hands at an opulent opening party for Juicy Couture’s 5th Avenue flagship store in Manhattan. But that was the extent of the PDA for the Gossip Girl stars, who spent their time mingling with friends - including costar Jessica Szohr - and fans alike. At the bash, waiters made rounds with caviar canapes and mini hamburgers, while a church choir performed classic-rock hits and tutu-clad ballerinas danced in the windows.

• Taking a break from coaching high school football, Ashton Kutcher shared a dinner with a recovering Diddy at the Geisha House in Hollywood. The music mogul had just undergone rotator cuff surgery, sources tell us, and was on a “very strict diet.” In fact, Diddy ordered chicken yakitori and rock shrimp tempura, two house specialties, but ate very little of both dishes.

• Natalie Portman, eating some pumpkin soup during a visit to French eatery comme %26#199;a in Los Angeles. The actress dined with eight people and was definitely talking business, an onlooker says. • Dave Annable and Matthew Rhys made the most of hosting the DKNY dinner at BondST in Los Angeles, charming the table of (mostly) ladies with a constant stream of jokes and self-deprecation. Annable got a nice surprise when he arrived to find himself sitting next to actress Emmy Rossum. “They were really cute and seemed to hit if off right away,” says a fellow guest.

• Sharon Stone, browsing the denim section at Live On Sunset in Los Angeles. The actress picked up a pair of AG jeans and “was friendly, polite, quiet and looked beautiful,” an onlooker says.

• Katie Lee Joel, grabbing a candy-themed cocktail and mingling with guests at a party for Dylan’s Candy Bar on New York’s Upper East Side. Also at the bash: Ivanka Trump and director Woody Allen, who led his children Bechet and Manzie around the store looking at the colorful candy displays with wife Soon-Yi Previn.

As the Halloween holiday draws closer and closer, our favorite celebrities are getting into the spirit of the season. And yesterday Nicole Richie was spotted taking daughter Harlow Winter out for some pumpkin fun.

The “Simple Life” hottie and her adorable little girl were spotted playing around at the Pumpkin Patch while dad Joel Madden was reportedly doing his best to pick out some holiday gourds for their home.

And according to press, little Harlow may be getting a brother or sister in the not-too-distant future if Nicole gets her way.

A source revealed, “Nicole is seriously looking into it and asking a lot of questions about adopting. Nicole has been visiting Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles two or three times a week and spends a couple of hours with homeless children. She loves being around them.”
