Keeping her family at the top of her priority list, Katherine Heigl was spotted dining out with her parents, as well as her hubby Josh Kelley and a friend she picked up at the airport earlier in the day.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” babe looked pretty in purple as she sipped wine, texted on her BlackBerry, and incessantly smoked cigarettes throughout the meal. At one point Kelley reached over and grabbed Katherine’s chest to get her attention!
Speaking of smoking, Heigl can’t seem to kick the nasty habit, though she recently announced that she was going to quit. And it turns out this isn’t the first time she’s tried to rid her life of cigarettes.
Katherine told press, “It’s so stupid, I have to quit the old fashioned way. I tried the patch [and] tried gum. I hate the gum. It burns my mouth.”

She may be a big Hollywood star with a hit show and a slew of successful movies under her belt, but Katherine Heigl is really just an animal lover at heart.
And yesterday (November 9) the “Grey’s Anatomy” babe was spotted visiting the Villalobos Rescue Center, the largest Pit Bull rescue center in the country, with her mother.
Katherine enjoyed frolicking with a few of the over-200 Pit Bulls at the shelter, and even spent some time getting up-close and personal with a Bengal tiger and a black panther.
The “Knocked Up” hottie and her mother are both dog lovers, and are reportedly passionate about raising the plight of the animals at the Villalobos Rescue Center.

Taking a break from being the center of attention, Katherine Heigl was spotted on her way out of the Hotel Café with hubby Josh Kelley following his gig last night.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress looked excited after seeing her man rock the crowd, smiling for the paparazzi in a vintage-looking green leather jacket overtop an all-black ensemble.
And as they approach their one-year anniversary, Katherine says that she and Josh are thinking about the possibility of adding to their family Brangelina-style… through adoption.
“[Adoption is] sort of something we’re looking into doing in the future. It’s definitely something I’m very passionate about, have always felt passionately about. My sister is Korean. My mother adopted her, so she’s a huge important part of my life, and it’s just always been on my mind.”
She added, “I don’t know exactly what the process is and how to go about it… we haven’t quite gotten there yet. We’re still sort of newlyweds!”

Doing what she does best, Katherine Heigl was spotted hamming it up at the Grand Opening of the Peter Alexander Flagship Boutique last night (October 22).
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress was joined by her pet pooch Romeo, as well as fellow celebrities Mandy Moore and Alicia Silverstone, and looked fabulous in a sleeveless blue dress with black heels and a matching black purse.
Earlier in the day, Heigl was spotted staying active on her way to a West Hollywood bowling alley for an afternoon of strikes and spares (hopefully!).
And as they approach their one-year anniversary, it’s being reported that Katherine and her husband Josh Kelley are already thinking about adding to their family with an international adoption from Korea.
According to preliminary rumors, “They’ve filled out the paperwork and have been approved and now it’s just a matter of waiting. They’ve been planning this for a long time. It’s always been her dream to adopt. They haven’t ruled out a biological child down the line either.”

Singer/songwriter Joshua Radin was elated to serenade Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi on Saturday during their private nuptials.
“I cannot imagine topping that experience,” Radin told PEOPLE exclusively of his performance for DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35. “I’ve never played a wedding before, and I probably won’t again until it’s my own.”
For his performance, Radin - who was hand-picked by DeGeneres as a surprise for de Rossi - sang acoustic renditions of several new tracks, including the ballad “They Bring Me To You.”
But Radin isn’t the only one to share his happiness for the newlyweds: Congratulations have started flooding in. “I wish her all the best, all the happiness, all the joy that comes with that certificate in hand,” Katherine Heigl, a self-proclaimed fan of DeGeneres, said upon hearing the news.
Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight also sent his congrats along with his relief that same-sex marriage is now legal in California. “I happy that they’re happy,” said Knight. “I’m happy that they’re allowed to get married.”

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Katherine Heigl with a baby carriage? Not so fast!
“It’s nothing that we’re talking about right now,” her husband, musician Josh Kelley, told PEOPLE Tuesday. “We’re pretty busy.”
Kelley, 28, spent the summer vacationing with Heigl, 29, and touring. He returns to performing August 8 with Rod Stewart.
Heigl said in March that she would like to have children sooner than Kelley - but she agreed that wasting their current career opportunities would be “foolish.”
And despite Heigl’s controversial comments about the Grey’s Anatomy writers, Kelley said his wife is thrilled to be back at work on the show.
“She’s stoked, man,” said Kelley, adding that Heigl’s statements had been “overblown.” “It’s a great show, and I think it’s going to be a great season.”
It’s been a very good year for Will Smith. Not only is his Hancock a runaway box-office hit, but he also banked an impressive $80 million - making him Hollywood’s top money earner last year, according to a new ranking from Forbes.
Cameron Diaz is no victim of the current economic pinch, either. Making $50 million last year, the Shrek and What Happens in Vegas star was Tinsel Town’s top-earning female, reports the business publication.
Among others in the financial stratosphere: No. 2-ranked Johnny Depp, with a $72 million paycheck, and, tied for third place, Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers, with $55 million each - even though Myers’s recent The Love Guru tanked.
And while Atonement leading lady Keira Knightley earned $32 million, and Jennifer Aniston pulled in $27 million, Forbes notes that, once the gold dust settles, men make twice as much as women in Hollywood.
In terms of media personalities, Oprah Winfrey still owns the bank. Her earnings last year were a staggering $275 million.
As for other TV stars, Charlie Sheen was the top-earning male ($20 million), while Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl - who’s also been stepping into big-screen roles - deposited $13 million, making her the top-ranking female.
