What’s in a name? Your future if you’re going to be Eric Mabius’s second son.

“My wife, %26#91;interior designer Ivy Sherman%26#93;, wants a French name, but I don’t know. I’ll have to enroll him in karate right away if I give him a French name,” the Ugly Betty star tells PEOPLE. “I was thinking Raphael with the p-h spelling. It’s a cool name. I guess he’ll be a painter or a sculptor or something.”

And now that his costar, Rebecca Romijn, is expecting twin girls, Mabius says he will definitely be taking his children to play with them during the show.

“Oh, all the time,” he says. “Max is a hit on set.”

Babies are a frequent topic of conversation among the cast of Ugly Betty. With costar Rebecca Romijn expecting twins and executive producer Salma Hayek a mother to 11-month-old daughter Valentina, cast member Ana Ortiz says she’s feeling the pressure to have a child of her own.

“I really am!” she told PEOPLE Monday at the show’s season-three premiere party at Highbar in New York City. “It’s definitely something that my husband %26#91;musician Noah Lebenzon%26#93; and I talk about all the time.”

Ortiz, 37, even says she’s gotten the most encouragement to start a family from her costar America Ferrera.

Now Ortiz says she’s isn’t worrying about losing her TV gig, and jokes: “I have the most supportive producers, but I would do it, even if they didn’t want me to.”

Whether or not babies are in her immediate future, Ortiz says her onscreen life may include a child. “I think with my character Hilda it’s something that can definitely happen. Just a little more drama for her!”

Forget pickles and ice cream. Rebecca Romijn has her own unusual cravings.

“Lemonade always has to be in our fridge,” husband Jerry O’Connell told PEOPLE Sunday night before participating in the Nike + Human Race in Los Angeles. “That’s my job. %26#91;Also%26#93; soy cream cheese. It’s crazy, right? Can’t be cream cheese. Soy cream cheese. Do you know how difficult it is to find soy cream cheese? It’s usually in the corner of the supermarket someplace!”

The actress - who’s expecting twin girls this winter - is “getting bigger by the day,” added O’Connell, noting that he’s already witnessed a big change in his wife’s appetite.

“Meals are not missed,” he joked. “We promptly hit them and if we’re a little late, then … somebody’s not happy.”

Before the race started O’Connell - who was one of the 12,000 participants in L.A. for the 10-kilometer race - kept himself hydrated and chatted with another celebrity runner, Jason Priestley.

To prepare for the 6.2-mile run, the dad-to-be didn’t hire a personal trainer - he simply went running solo. “If you want to get in shape, I highly suggest jumping into a race like this,” he said. “It forces you to get out of bed in the morning and really motivates you.”

Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn’s twin girls aren’t even born yet, but the excited dad-to-be is already preparing to monitor his daughters’ love lives.

“They’re only having sex when I’m dead,” O’Connell, 34, joked to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. “If they don’t date boys at all and just want to be infatuated with their father, that’s what I’m really going for. The nunnery!”

As for O’Connell’s No.-1 tough chick, Romijn is “doing great,” he says, and “getting big … Rebecca is the most beautiful thing that ever happened to the O’Connell family tree.”

When it came to telling her TV colleagues that she and husband Jerry O’Connell would be having twins, Ugly Betty’s Rebecca Romijn handled the announcement quietly before the news went public.

Not that their reactions were subdued. “%26#91;We’re%26#93; so excited,” said Betty star America Ferrera at Monday’s New York City premiere of her movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

“I’m so happy for them,” gushed Ferrera, 24. “They’re going to be the best parents. I don’t think there could be a more wonderful father to girls.”

Vanessa Williams has even started shopping. “I’ve already gotten them organic cotton baby clothes from Green Babies to start them off right,” Williams, 45, told PEOPLE. “Rebecca is glowing, and Jerry will make a really fun daddy.”

“She was more excited than you can imagine. Jerry’s a great guy. And they laugh so much, and they have so much fun together,” added Becki Newton, who also noted that the stork seems to be an honorary cast member on the show.

Besides Romijn, Eric Mabius is expecting his second child come fall, and Christopher Gorham’s third is due in January.

Romijn’s ‘Mama-Bear Thing’

Costar Ana Ortiz says Romijn is “blissfully happy” to be expecting two babies. “She’s such a mom already. She has that Mama-Bear thing, always watching out for us, and she’s a hoot,” says Ortiz. And the dad? “Jerry is going to spoil them completely rotten.”

“They’re not going to be the uptight kind of parents, ‘You can’t do this, you can’t do that,’ ” ventured 14-year-old Mark Indelicato, who plays Justin Suarez on the show. “They’re going to be awesome parents. They love to have fun. But they still have boundaries. And they live in the coolest place ever in L.A.”

And, as the parents-to-be should also note: “I’m a cheap babysitter,” says Indelicato. “I only charge five bucks an hour.”

Ugly Betty actor Christopher Gorham and his wife Anel are expecting their third child, they confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.

“We’re very excited,” the couple said Monday. Already the parents of two boys - Lucas, 7, and Ethan, 4 - the college sweethearts, both 33, will welcome a girl in January.

Gorham, who played America Ferrera’s lovable accountant boyfriend Henry, will next star in the CBS drama Harper’s Island.

The parents-to-be were married July 15, 2007, in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. He had proposed to her during a September 2005 trip to New York, a full year after they were first spotted together in L.A., taking in an Al Green concert and checking out a local deli.

Ugly Betty’s Romijn, 35, recently told Self magazine she hoped to be “lucky enough” to have kids.

“It would be amazing if it happened,” he said, adding that practicing has been “a lot of fun.”

O’Connell, 31, stars in the NBC medical crime drama, Crossing Jordan. He also has appeared in the films Stand by Me and Jerry Maguire. Romijn’s credits include the X-Men franchise, and she worked with O’Connell on two new movies: Man About Town and The Alibi.

“We’re trying to get pregnant,” the actor told PEOPLE Saturday at the Playboy Mansion, where he stepped out for Much Love Animal Rescue’s 2nd annual Bow Wow Wow event in Los Angeles. “It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does.”

O’Connell, who says trying to get pregnant is “a lot of fun,” brought along the couple’s dogs Taco and Better who he called “our babies.”

Besides, he said, “Pets are training for kids.”

Though the couple spent their first wedding anniversary apart - she was in New York and he was in L.A. - O’Connell says their time apart may actually help their relationship.

“Being apart, you want to make the most of your time together,” he says. “And we really have a lot of fun together.”

Rebecca Romijn says she’s glad she’s firmly in the adult stage of her life - and ready for the next big step.

“Hopefully, I’ll have children, if I’m lucky enough,” Romijn, 34, says in the August issue of Self.

But the confident supermodel-turned-actress - who turns heads as transsexual tycoon Alexis Reade in Ugly Betty and married Jerry O’Connell last year - didn’t always have the world at her feet. As a teenager she suffered from scoliosis, and she never exercised until receiving a tip from another famous fashion face: Elle MacPherson.

Now, even though she’s not a regular on the runways anymore, the self-confessed food-lover still keeps to a good exercise regimen.

“I’m not model-thin anymore, but that’s fine,” Romijn says. “I’ve earned everything I have, and I feel great.”
